Section 12: Historical Perspectives

Aphorisms

Particularly from ancient and more fragmentary texts aphorisms have survived that may sometimes seem at least vaguely related to this book. (An example from the pre-Socratics is "everything is full of gods".) But typically it is impossible to see with any definiteness what such aphorisms might really have been intended to mean.
