Informational Fracture Points in Cellular Automata

Cellular automata (CA) are incredibly diverse, but how information flows through them is understood for only a handful of special cases. We develop a family of experiments for visualizing and data mining patterns of information flow in CA. A large but exhaustively enumerable class of CA is studied for overall properties; specific behavior of interest to biology and nanotechnology is presented. Finally, we reexamine our techniques as the analog of micro-array analysis for abstract computational systems.
