NKS and the Nature of Space and Time

I will review some of the ideas in A New Kind of Science regarding the abstract nature of space and time. In particular I will talk about the concept of causal networks arising from the evolution of simple rule systems, and how familiar physical concepts, such as special relativity, arise in a natural and fundamental way.
